SSY or Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna is a scheme started by Indian Government from 21st January 2015 under 'Beti Bachao Beti padho Andolan' to save and invest money for education and marriage of girl child.

In Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna any parent or guardian of a girl child having age 10 years or less can open the account on the behalf of that girl child.

And invest a minimum amount of 250 Indian rupees a year to a maximum 1.5 Lakh Indian rupees a year for the max 15 years.
