Brian Sugar is the Co-founder and CEO of POPSUGAR, which he started together with his wife, Editor-in-Chief Lisa Sugar in 2006. As CEO, Brian is responsible for setting the overall business direction and product strategy for the company. Prior to POPSUGAR, he served as Vice President & General Manager, Media at 2Wire, Inc., a home networking provider. Prior to 2Wire, Brian held several management positions in the retail and commerce industries. He was Chief Web Officer at Kmart's BlueLight.com, Vice President of e-commerce at J.Crew, and a founder of Neptune Interactive, a leading Internet service provider.

Lisa Sugar Lisa Sugar  Founder & Editor in Chief

Lisa’s insatiable appetite for celebrities and the world of entertainment led her to create POPSUGAR as a hobby in 2005. After explosive growth, Lisa and her husband, Brian, created POPSUGAR and began expanding POPSUGAR’s unique, friendly tone to sites focused on fashion, shopping, technology, baby, home, etc. The wife and mother of two now spends her days overseeing a staff of 60 editors who write for the 18 lifestyle and entertainment sites that make up POPSUGAR Network. As Editor-in-Chief, Lisa continues to define the overall voice and brand of the POPSUGAR properties. Prior to starting POPSUGAR, Lisa was a Media Planner at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Young & Rubicam, and also worked at Showtime Networks and FOX.

Krista Moatz Krista Moatz  Founder & EVP Editorial Operations

As Managing Editor, Krista works closely with Lisa to implement the vision and voice of POPSUGAR across its properties. She oversees a staff of 60 editors who write for the 18 lifestyle and entertainment sites that make up POPSUGAR Network. Krista brings to this role over seven years of finance expertise as an investment banker and finance manager. Prior to joining POPSUGAR, Krista served at San Francisco investment bank Savvian Advisors, where she advised both public and private companies in M&A transactions and private equity financings. Prior to Savvian, Krista served as Finance Director at Sugar Media, a digital media software company, acquired by 2Wire in October 2003. Krista is happy to finally be able to claim that obsessively checking POPSUGAR is part of her job.

Jason Rhee Jason Rhee  Founder & VP of Analytics

Jason Rhee is responsible for business intelligence and analytics at POPSUGAR. Previously, Jason held various management positions in Marketing, Business Development, Sales and Product Marketing. Prior to POPSUGAR, Jason was responsible for Business Development at Avistar Communications Corporation. Prior to Avistar, Jason was responsible for Product Marketing and Product Management for 2Wire’s Media business unit and came to 2Wire through the acquisition of Sugar Media, where he was a founding employee. Jason began his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) serving clients in the automotive, government, chemicals and energy industries. Jason holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Arthur Cinader Arthur Cinader  Founder & EVP of Product Development

As a member of the engineering staff, Arthur Cinader is an active contributor to the development of POPSUGAR's technology platform. Prior to Sugar Inc., Arthur served as Director of Product Marketing for 2Wire, Inc.'s media business. Before joining 2Wire, Arthur was a founder of and software developer for Sugar Media, a digital media software company acquired by 2Wire. Arthur founded South West Corner Productions, a New York City based software development company, where he signed and led development efforts for clients including Priceline, Slimfast, and Warnaco. Arthur spent more than a decade at J.Crew in various roles, including Managing Editor of the J.Crew catalog.

Sean Macnew Sean Macnew  CFO

As Chief Financial Officer, Sean is responsible for financial strategy and direction for POPSUGAR. Prior to joining POPSUGAR, Sean spent five years at Symantec and VERITAS Software in M&A, business development, finance, and operating roles. He was most recently Senior Director and General Manager of the NetBackup Realtime product group. Sean started his career working in investment banking for Goldman Sachs and Alex. Brown & Sons. As a banker, he advised on M&A and financing transactions for technology clients, including the initial public offerings of eBay, E-Tek Dynamics and RealNetworks. He was also an early employee of Epinions, a consumer-review-powered shopping website acquired by eBay. He received a BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Jennifer L. Wong Jennifer L. Wong  EVP of Corporate Strategy, Operations and Business Development

Jennifer L. Wong is Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Operations and Business Development at POPSUGAR. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing business operations and for developing strategic initiatives across POPSUGAR’s media, commerce and social media portfolio of brands. She will also be the day-to-day General Manager for the OnSugar network. Prior to POPSUGAR, Jennifer held several management roles at AOL in The Huffington Post Media Group and AOL Advertising. She most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Premium Network Display Products, where she led the development and go-to-market strategies for the company’s premium network display products and was previously the SVP and General Manager of Lifestyle sites. Before joining AOL, Jennifer was an Associate Partner in the Media, Entertainment and Information practice at McKinsey & Company. Jennifer holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS from Stanford in Engineering-Economic Systems and Operations Research, and a BS from Yale College in Applied Mathematics. She also serves on the Board of BRIC Arts Media.

Kristine Shine Kristine Shine  Chief Revenue Officer

Kristine Shine serves as the Chief Revenue Officer of POPSUGAR where she leads the company’s sales efforts across all of POPSUGAR's content and commerce brands. Kristine brings extensive experience in the digital media space having held numerous leadership roles that have led to significant revenue generation and innovative branded entertainment partnerships. Prior to POPSUGAR, Kristine led the West Region Sales Team at Microsoft where she oversaw performance marketing for search and display advertising products and services. Her career in digital media began at BusinessWeek Magazine where she served as Vice President of National Online Sales. Kristine is a frequent presenter on such industry topics as digital media, branded content, ecommerce in the women’s lifestyle category. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Marist College in New York.

Jodi Lipe Jodi Lipe  EVP of Marketing

Jodi Lipe is Executive Vice President of Marketing at POPSUGAR. In her role, Jodi oversees a team responsible for Corporate Marketing, Brand Management and Creative, PR & Corporate Communications, and Consumer Marketing. She is also responsible for Trade Marketing and Research. Jodi is a passionate brand builder and has extensive experience positioning, leading and executing for brands across a variety of categories. Most recently, Jodi led consumer marketing for Cisco’s Flip Video division, and helped build Flip into a leading iconic lifestyle brand. Prior to joining Flip, Lipe was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Current TV, the award-winning television and online network founded by Al Gore and Joel Hyatt. Prior to Current TV, Lipe held various marketing positions at leading media companies such as, AMC-TV, Viacom, Excite.com and Cartoon Network. Jodi lives in Santa Monica, California with her husband and eight year old son.

Melissa Davis Melissa Davis  VP of POPSUGAR Shopping

As General Manager of POPSUGAR Shopping, Melissa is responsible for overseeing strategy, business development, marketing, and product development for POPSUGAR’s commerce business. Additionally, Melissa spearheads partnership efforts with the hundreds of retailers and brands that partner with POPSUGAR. Melissa brings extensive experience in e-commerce and digital media having held several leadership roles in business development and marketing. Prior to joining POPSUGAR, Melissa was responsible for directing strategic partnerships for Time Inc.’s leading digital fashion brands including, InStyle.com. Before Time Inc., Melissa managed operations at The Knot and was responsible for successfully growing retail revenue for key partners. Melissa holds a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas.

Molly Goodson Molly Goodson  VP of Content

Molly Goodson is the vice president of content for POPSUGAR and has been with the company since January 2007. In addition to helping oversee the editorial team and attending events on behalf of POPSUGAR, Molly also works closely with PopSugar Studios on all original content and works with Lisa to curate the Must Have Box monthly. Molly was born and raised in Newton, MA, where from a young age she cultivated a healthy love of pop culture, Brad Pitt, and celebrity news. After graduating from Pomona College and spending a brief amount of time in the politics and nonprofit world, Molly wrote for media news site Jossip.com and launched their celebrity site, MollyGood.com, in 2006. Soon after, Molly met Lisa Sugar and joined POPSUGAR Inc. as the editor of PopSugar. Molly currently lives in SF with her husband and their stubborn but lovable pug.

Genevieve Kunst Genevieve Kunst  Vice President and Managing Director, POPSUGAR Europe

As Vice President and Managing Director POPSUGAR Shopping Europe, Genevieve Kunst is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and growth of the European business. Genevieve has spent more than a decade working across Europe in the e-commerce and mobile industries. She most recently served as the UK Director of Supply and Merchandising for Thomas Cook Online, where she was responsible for the day-to-day commercial trading on ThomasCook.com. Prior to this, she held multiple digital roles at Amazon, including Head of Business Development, Digital Media, for Amazon Europe, rolling out its "Look Inside" product and launching the Kindle. Other positions in Europe included roles at T-Mobile, Bertelsmann and the start-up, Vitago. She started her career in her native U.S. working for her family’s textile business, Fabri-Quilt, Westdeutsche Landesbank and as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney. Genevieve holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MA in International Studies from The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Carleton College in History.

David Grant David Grant  President, POPSUGAR Studios

David leads POPSUGAR Studios (and POPSUGAR-acquired Shopflick), the LA-based unit of POPSUGAR that develops, produces, and distributes POPSUGAR-branded digital video content, television, and film. David has a long history of content excellence and innovation. He was the founder and President of Fox TV Studios, a major Hollywood producer of thousands of hours of scripted, reality, and documentary television in over 25 countries. During Grant's tenure, the studio produced shows as diverse as drama "The Shield," sitcom "Malcolm in the Middle" (winner of multiple Emmy and Peabody Awards), reality series "Temptation Island"(produced in over 25 countries), and nonfiction series "Biography" (multiple Emmy winner for Best Non-Fiction Series). Previously, David was an Executive VP of the FOX Network, where he oversaw the network's acquisition of programming and played a key role in the start-up of Fox Sports, the NFL on FOX, the FX Network, BSkyB in the UK, and STAR TV in Asia.

Ephraim Luft Ephraim Luft  EVP & GM of Circle of Moms

Ephraim Luft is EVP & GM of Circle of Moms, a leading social network for moms and moms-to-be. In this role, Ephraim is responsible for engineering, business development, marketing, design and product strategy. Ephraim co-founded Circle of Moms and was previously CEO before POPSUGAR acquired the company in early 2012. Prior to Circle of Moms, Ephraim held several leadership roles in product and business development at Massive Inc., an in-game advertising network, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006. Prior to Massive, Ephraim held engineering and marketing management positions where he led go-to-market strategies for television product and services portfolio at Microsoft and Comcast. Ephraim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford and a Master’s degree from Harvard Business School. Ephraim is a frequent speaker at media industry events such as the iMedia Summit, Montgomery Technology Conference, Marketing to Moms, KidPower and Digiday Apps Summit.

Mike Lenz Mike Lenz  EVP of Engineering, Search & Mobile

Mike Lenz is Vice President of Engineering at POPSUGAR. In this role, Mike oversees engineering for POPSUGAR’s commerce properties and mobile applications, which include POPSUGAR Shopping and DesignerApparel. Mike was a co-founder of ShopStyle, which POPSUGAR acquired in 2007. Prior to POPSUGAR, Mike held several senior technology and management roles at Netscape, Apple, VeriSign and various startups. Mike holds a bachelor's degree in symbolic systems and a master's degree in computer science from Stanford University.

Alex McNealey Alex McNealey  Vice President, Advertising Operations

As Vice President of Advertising Operations at POPSUGAR, Alex is responsible for the strategic management and business operations of advertising campaigns, including driving overall yield optimization, sales operations, and display and video management strategy. In addition, Alex is also responsible for driving the business strategy and operations of POPSUGAR Must Have, the company’s thriving subscription commerce business. Prior to POPSUGAR, Alex held several key management roles at Cisco, including Business Manager of Consumer Products for North and South America. Prior to Cisco, Alex was responsible for running distribution and support operations at Pure Digital Technologies (later acquired by Cisco), the makers of the award-winning Flip camera. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

Eileen Carty Vice President of East Coast Sales, POPSUGAR

As Vice President of East Coast Sales, Eileen Carty is responsible for generating revenue, branded content partnerships and marketplace awareness for POPSUGAR. Since starting with POPSUGAR four years ago, Eileen has successfully developed numerous key brand and agency partnerships that contribute significantly to POPSUGAR’s success today. Prior to POPSUGAR, Eileen had a long history of building sales territories and strategies for social media platforms at start-ups such as Glam, MySpace and cars.com. Eileen holds a Bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University and MBA from the Haas School of Business.
