Pre-Wedding Consultation: The Client and at least one of the Videographers will meet or speak on the phone to discuss what is required and go over planning, logistics and timings where needed.
Cooperation: The Client and the Videographers consent to happily cooperating and communicating with each other to achieve the best possible result within the understanding of this contract. It is recommended that the Videographers be provided with a helper (usually someone in the wedding party) who will point out key individuals to be filmed throughout the wedding ceremony and reception, and/or a timeline of important moments to capture. The Client also agrees to give the Videographers sufficient warning of key events at the wedding to give the Videographers time to prepare (e.g. Bouquet throwing, cutting the cake, speeches, etc.) Please note that not all guests at weddings like being filmed. In such cases the Videographers will use discretion but cannot be held responsible for a lack of cooperation.
The Schedule: Both the Client and the Videographers agree that punctuality and cooperation are essential to producing outstanding results. In cases where the wedding does not run on time, the Videographers will do their absolute best to compensate and accommodate.
"Paparazzi" Wedding Guests: It is common for wedding guests to have digital cameras and cell phone cameras that are used to film during the ceremony and reception. In the spirit of cooperation the Client agrees to give the Videographers precedence over the guests in order to film the required content for the wedding services described above.
House Rules: Note the Videographers are sometimes limited by rules imposed by registrars, ministers and venue management as to what can and cannot be done. For example some ministers insist that no filming is allowed, and others will insist that the videographers shoot from a specific location. In such circumstances the Client agrees to accept the technical limitations that may be imposed on the equipment used. We advise the Client to make themselves aware of the rules of the venue concerned and if necessary negotiate with the personnel concerned while keeping the Videographers informed (or involved) in these discussions.
Copyright Law: The copyright of footage remains with the Videographers. The Videographers grant the Client permission to make copies of the images under the following conditions. The video taken by the Videographers are for personal use by the Client and their friends and relatives. Sale, Publication or any Commercial use of videos is not allowed without prior written permission from the Videographers.
Model Release: The Client grants the Videographers and their legal representatives, heirs and assigns, the irrevocable and unlimited consent to use the videos of the Client for editorial, competition, advertising and any other purpose and in any manner, to alter the videos without restriction; and to copyright the video. The Client hereby releases the Videographers and their legal representatives, heirs and assigns from all liability and claims in connection with the images.
Limit of Liability: If one or both of the Videographers is too ill or becomes injured and cannot supply the wedding services specified above, the Videographers will do everything in their power to book a replacement wedding Videographer at no additional cost to the Client. If this is not accomplished, liability is limited to a refund of all payments received. The Videographers have working methods in place to prevent loss or damage of any kind to your video. However, there is the unlikely possibility that video may be lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons in or beyond their control. In these circumstances liability is limited to the return of all fees paid for the service or part thereof according to the percentage of images supplied.
We have understood the contents of this contract and agree to the terms therein.
