An IP address is a unique number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Internet so that your computer can be identified by the main computers, known as "Web servers," that "serve up" Web pages. This allows us to gather useful information and data about our customers' use of the site, such as the Web pages viewed on www.avis.com, www.avisrewards.com, www.avisagent.com, www.budget.com, and www.budgettruck.com.
ABG collects IP addresses for the purposes of: helping us diagnose problems with our main computers, for system administration, to report aggregated information to our business partners, and to audit the use of our website. When users request Web pages from our Website, our Web servers log the User's IP address. For example, we collect and/or track the home server domain name, the type of computer, and the type of Web browser used by you to access this Website. Such collection and tracking information is gathered by us as you navigate through our website, and will be used by us for our business purposes only.
If you choose to allow it, our applications may collect location markers (geolocation data) using a GPS device built into or attached to your computer or mobile device or other methods, such as mapped wifi routers or cell identifiers from broadcast towers. You may adjust the settings of your computer or mobile device to turn off transmission of geolocation data at any time by updating the settings on your device.

They may also use non-personal information about your visits to send you targeted advertisements for goods and services. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you targeted ads, you may opt-out by clicking here. Please note this does not opt you out of being served advertising. You will continue to receive generic ads.
Our third party tracking utility partners employ a software technology called Web beacons, that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Web beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. We do not tie the information gathered by web beacons to our customer's personal information.
We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Mobile Software on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information you submit within the mobile app.
