This is a matter closing letter to end engagement with a client.

Matter Closing Letter

Dear [Mr./Ms. CLIENT],

Thank you for allowing Alloy Patent Law to work with you on [DESCRIBE MATTER HERE] as described on Schedule [SCHEDULE LETTER] of your engagement letter. Since our work on this matter is now complete, we will take no further actions and are closing this file. Your engagement letter will remain on file for other matters that currently underway, or for future matters.

We are returning all original documents and papers you gave us in connections with this matter. If this letter is sent via email this indicates that we have no original documents or papers to return. We recommend that you keep all of your information concerning this matter in a safe place in case you need it in the future. If you need anything else from our files please let us know as soon as possible. It is Bold IP’s policy to digitally retain client files for a period of five (5) years, at which time files may be deleted or destroyed. Requests for records made beyond the retention time cannot be fulfilled.

We hope this matter was concluded to your satisfaction. If you have any remaining questions or concerns, or if you feel that this letter is in error, please contact us immediately.
