Users mobile device's IMEI number is used to give users access to the application.
The IMEI number is only used for that purpose and nothing else.
The IMEI number acts as a users authentication where users will first provide there IMEI number which will be added to a specific backend. Upon launching the app, the app will check if the IMEI number is the same as the one in the backend then give users access.
The application does not store users IMEI numbers. It only verify the device number with the IMEI number in the backend. Users have control in deciding if they want to share they IMEI number or not.
IMEI number will only be added to the backend only if user give consent.
All IMEI numbers are kept private from public and unauthorized individuals.
